Eraring Energy was established in August 2000 as a New South Wales Government owned corporation under the State-Owned Corporations Act 1995. Eraring Energy is one of Australia's largest electricity generation companies competing in the National Electricity Market with it's portfolio including Eraring Power Station located at Lake Macquarie, windfarms at Blayney and Crookwell, and Hydro operations at Kangaroo Valley, Bendeela, Brown Mountain, Burrinjuck, Warragamba, Hume Dam & Keepit Dam.
 
Invitation
Eraring Energy wishes to invite organisations to bid for the supply of goods and/or services contained within this system.  All tender responses will be received through this electronic tender box facility.
 
Access to Tenders
To use this system and to access the tenders being called you must first be a registered Supplier.  Registration is free of charge. As a registered supplier, you can receive email notification of any new tenders we publish, download and view the documentation electronically, and participate in forums to seek clarification or to ask questions.

Lodgement and Closing Date of Tenders
All tenders are to be lodged electronically by the date and time specified in the tender.
Upload times may vary significantly depending on your system configuration so please ensure Tender reponses are lodged in sufficient time to be received by the Electronic Tender Box before the time nominated on the closing date. We cannot accept Tenders submitted by email, facsimile or hard copy.

PC Software Requirements
To be able to open & read or view the downloadable files, certain software may be required to be installed on your PC, including the following:
Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 (or later)
WinZip 7.0 (or later)
Microsoft Word 97 (or later)
Microsoft Excel 97 (or later)
 
"DMAX Lite" software will be required to open & repond to many of our tenders. This streamlines the evaluation and improves the auditability of the process. For these tenders you will need a low cost license obtainable from DecisonMAX Pty Ltd (02)9949 7603. The license is valid for 1 year & may be used for any response to any tender issued by a DecisionMAx user.
 
The tenderer is responsible for the provision and installation of necessary software.
 
Governance
Use of electronic tendering speeds up the tendering cycle and reduces the time and costs for both  Eraring Energy and our suppliers. It also gives Tenderers confidence in the fairness of the process and that the content of their tender response remains confidential as the tender box cannot be opened until the closing time.
 
Tenderers must comply with the NSW Government Code of Practice for Procurement (www.treasury.nsw.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0015/1356/code_of_prac-curr.pdf).
 
Should any tenderer feel that it is unnecessarily precluded from tendering or disadvantaged by contract terms or specifications in these Tenders, this should be brought to the attention of the Contact Officer in the first instance, followed by the Procurement Manager (02) 4973 0508. If a tenderer does not feel their concern has been addressed adequately, it is invited to write in confidence to the Probity Advisor/Auditor for this tender:
